THE sentencing of a farm shop bookkeeper who admitted to fraud by abuse of position in Oxfordshire has been delayed.

Sally Burborough, 47, of Bicester Road, Aylesbury, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (July 4) charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position.

It was heard that between June 15, 2016 and January 11, 2023, she committed an act of fraud while working as a bookkeeper for Haseley Farm in Oxford by dishonestly making a financial gain for herself.

It is unknown how the incident took place.

Burborough was due to be sentenced on Thursday but the case was adjourned until August 8 so that a pre-sentence report could be prepared.

She could face a term of imprisonment or an unlimited fine.
