Music and food brought visitors to Jericho for the latest Lazy Saturday gathering.
The community events have been staged for several years in Mount Place and often attract people from across the city.
A bright sunny summer day, a site beside the Oxford Canal, Little Ox Beer on tap, German sausages and five live local bands attracted 180 people to the 12th event of its kind on Saturday.

The bands ranged from jazz on piano and violin from Nick Gill and Caroline Watsham (normally resident at another North Oxford Market), 1950’s rock n' roll from 55 Jive, whose main musician Johnny Hinkes is frequently resident in Bonn Square, to Tom Rogers playing acoustic guitar, to the headliners Tommy Ricky, regulars at the Harcourt Arms.
They got visitors dancing and a bucket was passed round for contributions at the end.
Two workers from the community, Carole and Gay, manned a tombola stall in aid of raising funds for the parish pantry which each week distributes surplus food to all.
They brought in £250 from an afternoon’s work.

Oxford books and postcards were on sale and they sold well.
John Mair the organiser of this and the previous 11 Lazy Saturdays, said: "We are always lucky with the weather and the formula seems to work.
"It is using a community revived space for community fun - precisely the right purpose.
"Thanks to all who gave of their efforts or opened their wallets."
There may be an Octoberfest Lazy Saturday staged later in the year.
