Results of cases recently heard at the county's magistrates' courts: Oxford AMAR KHAN, 22, of Dashwood Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, found guilty of obstructing a police officer in the line of duty in Oxford on January 1. Fined £125, ordered to pay £200 costs and a victim's surcharge of £15.

JOSHUA JELFS, 22, of Faringdon Road, Cumnor, admitted using threatening behaviour and words on July 16 at Oxford. Must carry out 60 hours unpaid work within the next 12 months, pay compensation of £50 and costs of £60.

KELVIN GREEN, 32, of Chestnut Road, Oxford, admitted criminal damage to a TV and laptop to the value of £150 on July 29 in Oxford. Must have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months and to attend a community domestic violence programme and pay costs of £60.

ANDREW SWADLING, 33, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted breaking an antisocial behaviour order by begging in Oxford on June 6, June 10, twice on June 27, and once on July 6. Supervision requirement made for 12 months, must attend the substance abuse prevention programme for 40 days.

MARK BRYANT, 41, of Lower Road, Chinnor, admitted using a mobile phone while driving in Church Road, Chinnor, on January 21. Fined £270, given three points on his licence, ordered to pay costs of £60 and victim's surcharge of £15.

JAMES DESMOND, 26, of Baker Close, Headington, Oxford, admitted assault at Oxford on May 17. Sentenced to 10 weeks in jail.

BRENDAN HARGROVE, 19, of Hollow Way, Cowley, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis on August 13, in Oxford. Fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £30, and to pay a victim's surcharge of £15.

FABIAN IRESON-DALTON, 22, of Mortimer Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis on June 6, in Oxford. Fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £60 and a victim's surcharge of £15.

AMRAN NABI (also known as IMRAN NABI), 29, of Old Grimsbury Road, Banbury, admitted stealing a bottle of Jack Daniel's and a bottle of Cointreau worth £37.56, belonging to Tesco's on August 14 in Oxford. Ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months, to return items to store, and to pay £60 costs.

HENRY LIGHT, 63, of Lower Icknield Way, Chinnor, admitted failing to protect a horse for which he was responsible from pain, suffering, injury, and disease. Order made for the disposal of animal and deprival of any dependant offspring.

RYAN RULE, age unknown, of Osney Lane, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a noise abatement notice on February 4, at his home. Fined £150, ordered to pay costs of £100 and a victim's surcharge of £15.

MARLON BRYAN, 20, of Bailey Road, Cowley, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a community order made on June 20, to work as instructed on July 19, and failing to produce evidence for failure. Ordered to do another five hours of unpaid work.

JACKIE PHILLIPS (also known as JACQUELINE), 42, of Verbena Way, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place on August 11. Six-month conditional discharge and £60 costs.

CHRISTOPHER TRAVIS, 48, of no fixed address, admitted using words or behaviour causing harassment alarm or distress, in Oxford on August 20. Twelve-month conditional discharge.

AIMEE HARRIS, 21, of Bluebell Court, Oxford, admitted assaulting police officers by biting and kicking, in Oxford on August 10, while on bail. Also admitted assault in Oxford on February 10, and breaching a conditional discharge. Jailed for three months.

RICHARD KINNAIRD (also known as KINNARD) 28, of Catwell Close, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of Grolsch lager worth £3.98, from Texaco in Cowley Road, on March 31. Fined £35, ordered to pay compensation of £3.98, costs of £60 and victim's surcharge of £15.

GABRIEL MILCU, 23, of Pound Lane, Stanton St John, admitted drink driving with 94 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on August 3 in Oxford. Disqualified for two years, fined £200, ordered to pay £60 costs and £15 victim's surcharge.

NICHOLAS RUSHWORTH, 46, of Stile Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance on July 20 in Oxford. Ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work within 12 months and ordered to pay £60 costs.

GARY CONWAY, 42, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted assault and religious harassment outside a mosque at Oxford on April 12. Also admitted using words or behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress, on July 14, in Abingdon. Also admitted religiously aggravated harassment on July 18 in Oxford. Also admitted failing to inform the sexual offenders' register of a change of address. Also admitted criminal damage at Oxford on March 10. Sentenced to 17 weeks' jail.

Didcot NEIL COOPER, 27, of Gainsborough Green, Abingdon, admitted drink driving at Abingdon on June 30, having 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Disqualified for three years, fined £190, and ordered to pay £15 victim's surcharge.
