A grassroots motorsport festival is set to be held in Bicester later this year.

The inaugural StreetCar Festival, hosted by Motorsport UK, will take place at Bicester Motion on September 8.

StreetCar, launched in 2022, enables anyone to take part in grassroots motorsport using their regular cars.

The festival will showcase many of the 12 StreetCar disciplines, which include autotest, car trials, cross-country and road rallying, giving visitors a taste of motorsport and allowing them to connect with Motorsport UK clubs.

StreetCar clubs will be out in full force, representing the various disciplines and connecting with anyone interested in getting involved in motorsport.

Claire Kirkpatrick, head of club and community development at Motorsport UK, said: "Our StreetCar Festival is the chance to celebrate all our StreetCar clubs and community, while enabling anyone who is keen to get involved in motorsport to ask any questions they may have and, of course, to get behind the wheel."

Hugh Chambers, Motorsport UK's chief executive officer, added: "The StreetCar Festival will be a true celebration of the variety of disciplines that anyone can participate in, and is the first of its kind to bring so many disciplines together at one site.

"We are truly looking forward to an action-packed summer of motorsport and will be welcoming the community to the inaugural StreetCar Festival and celebrating all that is brilliant of grassroots motorsport."
