On Saturday (June 29) hundreds lined the streets in the sunshine to watch the Armed Forces Day parade.

Organised by Banbury Town Council, the parade started at the Market Place, made its way through Parson's Street, North Bar, Horsefair, High Street, and back to its starting point in the marketplace.

There were also interactive military and blue light service displays, live performances and a tour of the Cold War Bunker beneath the town hall.

Facebook page Banburyshire Info described the event as a "truly memorable day" in a Facebook post.

The post said: "History buffs explored the fascinating Cold War Nuclear Bunker beneath the town hall, while younger attendees enjoyed Emergency Service vehicles, stalls, and rides on the Roses of Bloxham carousel. Live music added to the atmosphere.

"This inclusive event catered to all interests, making it a truly memorable day.

"Huge thanks go to Banbury Town Council for organising, the dedicated volunteers, and St John Ambulance for keeping everyone safe."
