A section of a village common was cordoned off by forensics throughout the night after a man was taken to hospital with a neck injury.
Nearby homeowners said they first heard police sirens in Berinsfield near Wallingford at around 9pm last night (Wednesday, June 26) before a forensic tent was seen on the green area next to the St Mary & St Berin Church car park in Green Furlong.
Thames Valley Police has said officers were called to Fane Drive at around 9.20pm as an investigation continues into the incident. The man with the neck injury remains in hospital after he was believed to have been assaulted.
