A driver has been arrested on suspicion of immigration offences during a crackdown on vehicles in Bicester.
Thames Valley Police worked with the Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) enforcement team today (Tuesday, June 25) to carry out checks on commercial vehicles in Bicester.
Of the 37 vehicles stopped, 15 were found to have dangerous defects and were issued with immediate prohibitions.

This included bald tyres, faulty seatbelts and insecure loads.
Eight vehicles were found to be overweight with one over by 95 per cent, police said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.
Two vehicles were seized for drivers having no licence while one driver was also arrested in connection to immigration offences.
Thames Valley Police deployed both its roads policing unit and commercial vehicle unit during the shift.
