Bicester and North Oxfordshire Cricket Club took on a newly formed team made up of children and young people from the Afghan refugee community in Ambrosden earlier this week.
The T20 game was held at the club in Chesterton on June 23 and saw the visitors emerge victorious with a narrow six run win.
Two police officers, PCSO Kevin Smith of Kidlington and PC Kate Willis of Bicester, dropped by to enjoy the contest.
The club provided a BBQ for all the players.
Thames Valley Police Cherwell said it would like to thank the club for being "such welcoming hosts" and Ambrosden Afghan community club youth co-ordinator Sathya for organising the day.
The cricket club is keen to host similar events throughout the summer and is looking to offer coaching as well.
