The vehicle was travelling at excess speed on the busy A41 at Bicester this morning (June 22) when it was pulled over by traffic officers.
The police carried out a roadside test using a swab device called a drug wipe.
The driver provided a positive result for cannabis.
Thames Valley Police's roads policing unit said they were arrested and taken to Banbury police station.
They underwent a blood procedure to ascertain the precise levels of the drug in their blood.
