An Oxfordshire primary school is to receive a £9.4 million investment for new buildings.
Grove Church of England Primary School are set to benefit from the multimillion deal which is being funded by Oxfordshire County Council.
Approved by its cabinet on Tuesday, June 18, this major building project will expand the school’s capacity from 210 to 315 primary pupil places.
There will also be 39 new nursery places while temporary classrooms will be replaced by permanent structures.
Headteacher Donna Blake said: “This is an exciting new chapter for our school.

“We are delighted that we will be able to offer nursery provision for young families and enhance the excellent provision we already have in place for children from Reception to Year Six.
“The additional new facilities will provide further opportunities for our local community, complementing our wonderful outdoor spaces.”
This multimillion-pound project will be managed by the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, which is responsible for the school.
ODST consolidated headteacher Donna Blake’s reaction by adding that the funding will help support the needs of local families.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “Grove CE Primary is part of the 43-school Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST) multi-academy trust, which is based in Wantage.
“Grove is a school with a really strong community feel, and this funding will enable us to meet the future needs of families in the area with nursery provision and create learning environments that further enrich the high-quality education the school offers.”
The new school building will consist of seven classrooms, a hall and kitchen, a main entrance reception area, and administrative and staff accommodation.
ODST is working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council and David Wilson Homes, which is delivering a new housing development to the north of the school.

This will be on additional school land that forms part of the Monks Farm housing development.
Details of when work will start will be confirmed in coming months, based on the timetable for delivery of the access road by David Wilson Homes.
Lisa Lyons, Oxfordshire County Council’s Director of Children Services, said: “These are exciting plans for Grove Church of England Primary School, reflecting our ongoing commitment to provide high quality teaching and learning environments for Oxfordshire’s children, and our success in securing resources for education from housing developers.
