Police have provided an update regarding the identity of a man who died after being found unresponsive in Oxford city centre.
At around 5.10am on Tuesday, police officers found a man unresponsive on Cornmarket Street in the city centre.
South Central Ambulance Service, who were already at the scene, then transported the man to John Radcliffe Hospital.

The man was declared dead at the hospital while officers cordoned off the city street as forensics teams worked at the scene.
Thames Valley Police reopened the street shortly before midday and announced that the death was being treated as “unexplained.”
The force provided an update on Thursday regarding the man’s identity two days after his death.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “The officer on this case has informed that the family don’t wish to share any details or release a tribute at this time.”
Tributes have poured in for the man in the days following his death in the city centre.
“One of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting,” said friend Russel.
“A gentle giant with a lovely smile, polite, caring and very intelligent.
“You are at peace now and reunited with that special person.
