Southerndown Care Home in Chipping Norton has got its residents moving as part of this week's Barchester moving campaign.
Combining their efforts with staff, the residents donned their trainers and embarked on an energetic walk around the care home.
The group comprised several teams, which faced stiff competition to secure the title of sporting champions.
They were rewarded for their efforts with a lavish winner's buffet featuring fresh sandwiches, cakes, and celebratory drinks.
General manager, Arlene, said: "We always encourage our residents to keep active.
"With summer on the way we had a great opportunity to move our activities outside to make the most of the weather.
"Our residents and their guest really enjoyed today and it was lovely to see so many of them getting involved.
"It reminded all of us of when we were kids at school!"
Sheila, resident ambassador at Southerndown, said: "As a child I used to always run around the fields with my friends, and this brought back so many memories.
"It was great to everyone marching on with the chequered flags and I'm pleased to have been leading from the front in getting everyone around."
Southerndown Care Home, managed by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, is steadfast in its commitment to offer high-quality care across its units.
