After some colder weeks, summer is finally set to arrive in Oxford with a mini heatwave on the way.
The mini heatwave will begin on Monday according to BBC Weather and last past next week signalling the start of warmer temperatures in the city.
Weather maps predict that Monday, June 24 and onwards, Oxford will bask in temperatures up to 24C which will last for the foreseeable future.
Forecasters are predicting a heatwave across the country next week, with a North African plume likely to sweep across the UK before the start of July.

This will see temperatures peaking as high as 29C in more northern areas of the United Kingdom.
Monday in Oxford will start sunny but will give away to light winds with sunny intervals amid the clouds.
This is the same for Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday next week when the maximum temperature will be 24C.
However, on Wednesday, Saturday and the week after, the days will be sunnier with fewer breezes and overcast afternoons and a maximum temperature of 24C.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “It’s increasingly likely that a drier, warmer, and settled spell will begin to develop later this coming weekend, and into the following week.
“There is a small chance that this could persist for much of the rest of the period, turning increasingly hot.”
