Hundreds of people turned out for a summer fete at a farm in Witney on Father's Day.

Visitors to the fundraising event at Cogges Manor Farm took part in sack races, egg and spoon races, and ferret racing, provided by Millets Wildside Falconry and Wildlife Centre.

Visitors also enjoyed archery, weaving with the craft volunteers and traditional fete games.

General manager Guy Reed said: "The Cogges Summer Fete brought the sunshine and so many smiling faces.

"We were delighted to see so many people support us and celebrate the summer and Father's Day.

"The ferret racing went down a storm as did the pig, sack and egg and spoon racing on the manor lawn with many medals awarded.

"People loved the traditional fete games from splat the rat to hook a duck and the all-important coconut shy.

"Volunteers sold our plants, crafts, sun hats, bunting and biscuits, and helped on the various stalls, and the garden team created British Flowers Week-inspired bouquets to add towards the fundraiser.

"Cogges harks back to simpler pleasures – a good day out with the family, a BBQ and enjoying being outdoors having fun.

"Thank you to all those that came along, every visitor helps conserve our precious space for generations to follow."

The farm has a number of events lined up this summer and is open every day.
