A COURT hearing has taken place for a man accused of downloading child sex abuse images.
Shaun Shorten, of Bidwell Road, Banbury, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (June 18) charged with two counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children.
The 35-year-old was allegedly caught with 18 Category C images of children and one Category A image of child in Banbury between September 30, 2021 and April 24, 2023.

Shorten appeared in court for his first hearing at 2pm.
He was not asked to enter his plea yet and the case has been sent to Oxford Crown Court.
A plea and trial preparation hearing is due to take place on July 18 where the defendant will be asked to enter his plea.
