The winners have been announced for an annual village scarecrow trail with this year’s theme being ‘favourite TV characters’.
The East Hagbourne village scarecrow trail first started in 2005 and this year saw 25 scarecrows enter.
Following votes from guests, the winning scarecrow was a Paddington Bear scarecrow hosted by Ana Sheppard of Blewbury Road.

There was an additional award with the winner of the additional Action Group award cup being the new entrants the Savages family from St Andrews Crescent.
This was for their Mr Bean scarecrow which was also the overall runner-up.
On the trail, there were many familiar characters such as Bluey and Bingo, Mr Bean, E.T., Fireman Sam, Sherlock and ‘Straw-dia’” Winkleman from The Traitors.
The event raised a total of £675 raised for charity with money split between Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue and WaterAid.
