A public meeting to discuss plans for the refurbishment of Wantage Community Hospital has been postponed.

The meeting was set to take on the evening of June 18 at The Beacon’s Lockinge room, after which it was planned an application would be submitted to the Vale of White Horse District Council for community investment levy funding.

However, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has postponed the meeting "due to reasons outside of our control during this pre-election period".

It said: "A new date is now being sought urgently for the meeting to take place as early as possible in July after the general election and this information will be made available as soon as it’s confirmed.

"In the meantime, we are very sorry for any inconvenience this change of date may have caused."
