An auction featuring a range of pre-owned equipment including cars and vans will be held in Oxford at the end of the month.

The Oxford Direct Services (ODS) vehicle and plant equipment auction, managed by auctioneers South Western Vehicle Auctions (SWVA), will feature more than 200 items including pre-owned vehicles, a range of machinery, landscaping and gardening equipment, tools, construction equipment, and more.

Viewing will start at 8am on June 29, with the auction beginning at 10.30am at the ODS Cowley Marsh Depot.

SWVA's business development manager, Jo Legg, said: "We are finding that more local authorities and larger companies are opting for on-site auctions as an option to sell off high volume redundant goods still in good condition.

"We are hoping for a good turnout on the day, and invite trade, businesses and private buyers to come along and grab a bargain."

Head of facilities management and fleet at ODS, Oliver Hearn, added: "This public auction gives the community access to a wide range of quality items for sale at reasonable prices, but also supports ODS's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

"We are about creating social value and proceeds from the auction will go back into doing good for Oxfordshire’s communities."

To bid at the auction, buyers must register either in advance via the SWVA website or at the depot on the day.

A buyer’s premium of 10 per cent plus VAT will be added to the final hammer price.
