The second ever Chipping Norton Pride event, hosted by the fabulous Willow Won’t-She, has proved another hit for the town.

Held on June 1, organisers said the Pride spectacular was a remarkable success that "reverberated through the local community, fostering a sense of unity and celebration".

Organised by a dedicated group of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, the event featured an array of activities with an emphasis on love, acceptance, and inclusivity.

A spokesperson said: "One of the standout features of the event was the unique design that adorned the town, crafted by the talented local artist Luke Embden.

"Luke's creative vision added a touch of artistry and vibrancy to the celebration, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

"The handmade decorations reflected the spirit of togetherness and collaboration that characterized the pride event."

Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including browsing through stalls showcasing local crafts and products, captivating performances by talented local artists, and enlightening speeches delivered by local politicians.

Organisers said these activities underscored the importance of community support and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion.

They said: "As the day transitioned into evening, the atmosphere transformed into a jubilant party that exceeded expectations.

"The evening party was a monumental success, featuring mesmerizing performances by burlesque dancers, soulful singers, and fabulous drag queens that dazzled the audience and showcased the diversity and talent within the LGBTQ+ community.

"The second pride event (in Chipping Norton) was a testament to the power of community, art, and inclusivity, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended and reinforcing the values of love, equality, and acceptance that underpin the Pride movement."
