Hundreds of businesses were in attendance as the winners of the Oxfordshire Business Awards were announced last week.

The ceremony, which took place on June 7, welcomed more than 350 businesses and was hosted at the John Henry Brookes Building at Oxford Brookes University.

The Oxfordshire Business Awards Team of Sponsors choose the winners and finalists.

The quantity and quality of entries for the 2024 Oxfordshire Business Awards was "truly remarkable" according to the judges.

Winners were revealed across 14 award categories including the Business of the Year Award.

Since the Oxfordshire Business Awards, also known as OXBA, began in 1994, they have recognised the achievements of thousands of businesses across the county.

"For 28 years, OXBA has recognised and celebrated impactful businesses and individuals across the county.

"The OXBA honours those who contribute to making Oxfordshire a vibrant place to live and work."

The evening's winners included Wild Bioscience, who bagged two awards – the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership New Business and The Oxford Trust and Oxfordshire Business First Emerging Tech Business.

Elsewhere, Sobell House won The Greatest Hits Radio Charity and Community Award, and Philip Shadbolt of EZ-Charge was named the James Cowper Kreston Business Person of the Year.

Other winners included High Spec Composites, who won two awards - The Metro Bank Small and Medium Enterprise of the Year Award and The Oxford Science Park Innovation Award.

The Hays Employer of the Year Award went to Audley Travel and The First Sight Media Technology Excellence Award was won by GHM Communications.

The Oxford Brookes Business School Purposeful Business Award was presented to The Project PT, while the Business Magazine Green Award went to The Oxford Health Company, who also won The RWK Goodman Large Business Award.

The Mathews Comfort Young Business Person of the Year Award went to Amy Taylor of Tap Social Movement, with Ross Brown of The Oxford Electrical Company and Eddie Whittingham of Common Ground also making the final.

Tap Social Movement enjoyed a successful evening as they also triumphed in the Darcica Business of the Year Award and The Cherry Picked Residential Property Developer of the Year Award went to Tsoy.

The Oxfordshire Business Awards dinner was attended and hosted by comedian Matt Richardson.

The award organisers said: "Congratulations to all the deserving winners and finalists for their remarkable achievements."
