AN arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of sexual assault in Oxford.

Nelson Williams, of Sandford Road, Littlemore, was due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (June 11) charged with one count of sexual assault on a female.

The 26-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted a female on February 24 last year in Oxford.

He is accused of touching a woman when ‘she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting’.

However, Williams failed to show up to his court hearing so was unable to enter a plea.

Instead, an arrest warrant has been issued and Williams will be brought to court as soon as he found by officers.

He could face a prison sentence or fine if guilty.
