The Summer of Play scheme is coming to Henley this summer.

Greys Court, famed for its history and heraldry, is set to stage activities related to these themes.

Set against a medieval tower, there will be various games inspired by the era.

As part of the activities, children will have the chance to participate in games that simulate crossing moats and other activities designed to enhance their target practice.

They’ll also experience tumbling towers around the historic site.

Furthermore, the National Trust who have put together the event, have incorporated craft activities.

In addition to being a fun and interactive experience for children and families, this summer scheme provides a guided exploration of history.

This initiative encourages learning and discovery in an engaging way, whilst children get to interact with the environment and each other.

The Summer of Play will run from July 25 to September 3.

The activities have been designed with a family festival atmosphere in mind, offering numerous zones for children to uncover.

With many games to try, art to make and a cosy book corner for quiet time, the Summer of Play offers a diversity of experiences that would appeal to children of different age groups and interests.

Under 5s are welcome to join the scheme for free and there is no necessity to pre-book.
