Around 50 people turned up to help spruce up Banbury United's ground on Saturday, June 8.
The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium is now noticeably more pleasing after a collective effort from volunteers.
The hard-working group, consisting of around 50 people varying from older members, board members to Banbury United Youth players and some of the youngest fans, worked diligently throughout the day.
Their tasks included painting, weeding, mowing, scraping, strimming, shearing and cleaning.
As a reward for their hard work, volunteers were treated to beautiful sunshine.
The newly signed player, Yaw Ofosu, also made his first club visit on the work day, interacting with volunteers.
This provided a brilliant opportunity for him to witness the community spirit that surrounds Banbury United.
Moreover, the volunteers were heartily gifted with a pizza delivery, courtesy of the club's shirt sponsor, Caprinos.
The food provision was much appreciated by the participants.
Looking forward, the grounds team is on the lookout for additional voluntary support, to help maintain the now polished look of the stadium going forward.
The maintenance tasks include light gardening and cleaning.
So, if you can spare a few hours a week or month to help out, then the club would love to hear from you.
