An American cop car was among 130 exhibits at this weekend's Churchill Car Show.

The show drew classic cars from all eras but the focus for this year was supercars from the 80s and 90s, including some flashy Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins.

Thames Valley Police officers from West Oxfordshire attended the event and shared photos of an American Highway Patrol police car from California at the car show on its Facebook page.

The event began in 1988 as a ‘Cavalcade of Cars’ to raise funds for the local community.

By the time of the last event in 2018 the bi-annual Churchill Car Show had become a major event in the UK car enthusiast calendar.

The small village of Churchill welcomed over 500 exhibitors and more than 5,000 visitors from all over the country in 2018.

The show was back this year after its six-year absence.

As well as amazing cars, there was a local business trade area and plenty of food and drink from the village beer tent, BBQ grill, artisan pizza and gin bar, and afternoon teas in the village hall.

The main beneficiary of the charity event which raises funds for Churchill and the neighbouring village of Sarsden will be Churchill village hall as well as local charities Churchill Heritage Centre, All Saints Church, Thrive OX7, 6th Chipping Norton Scout Group, Chipping Norton Theatre and Chipping Norton Lido.
