A ‘STRANGER rape’ trial has been dismissed and has been rescheduled due to unforeseeable issues in court.
Nigel Hunt was on trial at Oxford Crown Court charged with four counts of rape, alleged to have taken place on October 30, 2021, and one count each of assault by penetration and rape, alleged to have taken place on May 1, 2023.
The 30-year-old is accused of raping two 18-year-old university students, who were unknown to Hunt and unknown to each other.

Each incident allegedly happened after a night out in Oxford city centre.
Hunt, of William Kimber Crescent, The Old Nursery, Headington, has denied the offences.
However, the jury was dismissed on Monday (June 10) due to unforeseeable issues and the case has been rescheduled for November 4.
