Another tree has been vandalised in a community garden on Shilton Park in Carterton.

According to Carterton Town Council, this is the third tree in just over a year to be cut down.

Pupils at a local school were involved with planting the young red maple tree, which was just becoming established.

The council has said the project "took some time to plan and seek approval" and that the vandalism is "disappointing".
