A rare Xbox console worth a whopping £9,000 has been generously donated to an Oxford charity shop and is now for sale online. 

The generous donation made its way to a local British Heart Foundation store and is now listed on their eBay site - ready for a lucky buyer. 

The Pepsi Hulk Console, of which only 36 were available, was released in 2003 as a competition prize to promote the release of 'Hulk' in theatres and was never available for retail sale.

Avid gamers and collectors should place their bids on the striking green console - which is in working condition - to be in with a chance of getting this limited edition collectable item.

The console has so rarely been for sale it is tricky to estimate a value, but it could fetch up to £9,000

Paul Smith, a passionate gamer and function tester at our eBay HQ, discovered the value of the console when he was function testing it.

Mr Smith said: “We test all the electrical donations we receive, and this one really caught my eye."

"I’m a games enthusiast myself but the rare green colour combined with the Hulk and Pepsi logo really stood out.

"Whoever is lucky enough to snap this up will make their friends green with envy.”

Money from the sale of the Xbox console will go towards funding life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases.

The console will be listed for 10 days on the eBay site with bidding closing on Saturday, June 15 at 9pm (UK time).

International shipping is available so customers abroad are encouraged to place their bids.

Anyone hoping to buy the unique find will need to be speedy - there have been close to 2000 views online in the last 24 hours.

There have been 27 bids so far with the highest at £1660 at the time of writing. 

The console features a jewel on top with a promotional image of the Incredible Hulk's eye and the Pepsi logo. 

The bundle also includes five games and one controller. 

These special editions were only available by having a winning scratch card when you purchased a popcorn and Pepsi meal in participating UK UCI Multiplex cinemas. 

There are no similar items on eBay and none have ever been sold in the past.  

The British Heart Foundation said this presents a rare chance for fans and the likelihood of finding another similar gaming toy is slim.
