A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of assaulting a child in Oxford.
Robert Trafford, 44, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (June 6) charged with two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 – namely 12 years old.
The defendant spoke twice, once to confirm his identity and second to plead not guilty to both accounts.

He is accused of sexually assaulting the girl earlier this year.
Trafford, of Kenilworth Avenue, Oxford, is now due to stand trial at the same court on May 27. It is due to take four to five days.
The defendant, wearing a grey and blue coat, was free to leave the court as he had previously been granted conditional bail.
