A DRIVER is due to stand trial next year accused of causing serious injury through careless or inconsiderate driving.
Chad Deakin, 40, is accused of injuring Howard Potter on June 8 last year. The extent of Mr Potter’s injuries are currently unknown.
The driver allegedly drove carelessly or inconsiderately on Southam Road, Banbury in a black BMW and was charged following a police investigation.

Appearing at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (June 6), Deakin, wearing a long blue trench coat in the dock, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A trial date has now been set for May 27 next year.
Deakin, of Calthorpe Street, Banbury, has been granted unconditional bail until the trial. The trial is expected to last a week.
