AN inquest has opened into the death of an Abingdon man who was struck by a tree in his own garden.
John Buelens, 75, was found on the floor of his garden by his wife on May 16 after it was believed he was struck by a tree branch.

The computer engineer, of Will Hayne, Burcot, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but was pronounced dead the same day.
At an inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (June 5) heard that his medical cause of death has been provided as bronchopneumonia, status post-traumatic subarachnoid haemorrhage, rib fractures and haemothoraces and atrial fibrillation on apixaban.
Senior coroner Darren Michael Salter has set a date for a full inquest to place on October 31.
