FOUR people have been in court accused of managing four brothels including two in Banbury and Oxford.
Partson Mberi, 40, Anna Markwat, 47, Kinga Markwat, 27, and Izabella Gos, 40, all appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 4) charged with conspiracy to manage or assist in the management of a brothel.
It is alleged that between January 1, 2020 and February 1, 2023, the four were managing a brothel at Brisbane Court, Slough, Victoria Street, Cheltenham, Charles Court, Banbury and Dudley Court, Oxford.

All four are also accused of conspiring to conceal, disguise, convert, transfer and remove criminal property, namely cash, between the same dates.
It is alleged it was done by ‘transferring the money through bank accounts and payment of rent’.
Mberi, of Sinclair Avenue, Banbury, is also accused of failing to comply with provisions of section 386 relating to the keeping of accounting records.

He is accused, between the same dates, of failing to comply with the provisions in that he failed to keep account records.
The four were not asked to enter a plea at it is an indictable-only offence meaning it can only be dealt with in the higher courts.
All defendants are now due in Oxford Crown Court on July 4 for a plea and trial preparation.
