An Oxfordshire A-road was closed “for some time” according to police following a major crash on Wednesday morning.
The A420 between Shrivenham and Watchfield was closed in both directions after a serious collision occurred on Wednesday morning.
Thames Valley Police was at the scene where traffic congestion queues were rapidly building.

A spokesperson for the force said at the time: “The A420 between Shrivenham and Watchfield is currently closed in both directions following a road traffic collision.
“It is likely to remain closed for some time, and drivers are asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.”
The force has also requested that any witnesses to the crash come forward following an appeal to the public.

The Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “If anyone has any info relating to the incident, call 101 quoting 470 of today.”
The road was reopened at around 11.45am with traffic resuming to normal by the afternoon.
