AWET OKBAZGI, 25, of Withycombe Drive, Banbury, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Banbury on January 13 this year with 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. They were disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks, and fined £800. There were court costs of £400 and a victim surcharge of £320.

BRADLEY FINE, 37, of Poplar Grove, Kennington, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Oxford on November 4 last year. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and to pay £100 in compensation. There were court costs of £85.

CHRISTOPHER MERTHA, 33, of Acacia Close, Carterton, pleaded guilty to one count of theft in Witney after stealing two bottles of Corvoisier to the value of £52 from Waitrose on November 16 last year. He was fined £100. There were no other orders for costs.

JAMES DEVINE, 38, of Benson Road, Headington, pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving in Watlington Road, Oxford on November 19 last year with 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath as well as one count of drug driving and one count of driving without third-party insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.

LUKE KING, 39, of Tudor Walk, Swindon, pleaded guilty to using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress on April 8 this year in Swindon as well as one count of failing to surrender to court/police bail on May 8. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.

PROSPER NKOMAZANA, 31, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of assaulting an emergency worker in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on April 1 this year by beating. They were jailed for 24 weeks and ordered to pay £150 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

HUGH WHITE, 62 of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to breaching a harassment order in Watlington on May 9 this year by attending an address he was prohibited from attending due to an ordered put in place at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 18 last year. He was jailed for 20 weeks and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

OLIVER CHENEY, 28, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Chinnor on May 28 this year and one count of breaching a non-molestation order on the same by visiting an address he was prohibited from attending due to an order put in place at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 14, 2021. He was jailed for six months and ordered to pay £150 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

AHMAD ABDULWAHAD, 35, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage on November 27 last year after smashing a window to an unknown value belonging to The Holiday Inn Express in Grenoble Road, Oxford. He was ordered to pay £200 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.
