An Oxfordshire town bridge has been shut down after a police incident around noon.
A member of the public advised that the bridge in Wallingford bridge had been closed, with motorists and pedestrians blocked from passing over.

An incident is believed to have occurred in the area this afternoon, around 12 or 12.30pm.
The incident appears to have happened on what's known as The Street near Stephens Field in Wallingford.
Images from the site show police vehicles responding at the scene. It's unclear what happened during the incident.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
Members of the public have indicated that the bridge has reopened but this is yet to be confirmed by police.
