A lift share for Oxford United fans has been started ahead of the club’s maiden Championship season.
The Yellows claimed promotion through a famous win at Wembley last month in the EFL League One play-off final.
Forward Josh Murphy scored both goals in a convincing 2-0 victory versus Bolton Wanderers to send the U’s up to English football’s second tier for the first time since 1999.

Excitement is building ahead of United’s Championship campaign with several new away days on the roster including the likes of Leeds United, Burnley and Sheffield United.
United fan Andrew Holding from Wantage has set up The Oxford United Carpool Group for like-minded fans who want to share a lift to matches at home or away.
“The purpose of this is to share the cost of travel to and from matches and it shouldn’t be for profit,” he said.
“Just simply sharing the costs, such as parking and fuel at grounds around England, Wales and Grenoble Road.”

The group is one of the first lift share groups of any football club across England and Wales with 65 members signed up so far.
“I expect this to grow nearer to the start of the football season in August,” added Andrew.
“When we shared travel to Wembley with three like-minded fans it cost £10pp including parking and fuel.
“I’m hoping this will be similar for other away games but it is reliant upon people sharing travel costs and parking.”
