A SHOTGUN owner has been fined after possessing a firearm without a proper certificate.
Steven Dilley, of Colville Close, Bampton, was caught with a Moderns Arms double-barrelled .410” shotgun without a firearm certificate in force on August 13 last year.
He was charged with possessing a firearm without a certificate. The 42-year-old was also charged with possession of a Class A drug, MDMA, which he was allegedly caught with on the same day in Bampton.

Dilley was sentenced for the shotgun offence at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 31).
He was given a financial penalty and ordered to pay a fine of £250. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85.
It is unknown if the drug charge was dealt with.
