Fire crews have responded to a fire at a farm near Banbury late this afternoon.
Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire at a farm in the Chipping Warden area, near Banbury.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service issued an warning to nearby residents late this afternoon (Sunday, June 2).
Northants Fire & Rescue said: "Residents in the nearby Culworth and Sulgrave areas are advised that a smoke plume from the fire may be travelling in the direction of those villages, and to please keep doors and windows closed for the time being."
Chipping Warden is a village about six miles from Banbury just over the Oxfordshire border in south west Northamptonshire.
As of 10pm Sunday night (June 2) firefighters were still tackling the farm fire.
The Northants Fire Service issued a second advisory to area villagers near the fire.
A spokesperson said: "We're still dealing with the fire in Chipping Warden.
"If you live nearby, in particular in the area around Culworth & Sulgrave, please keep doors & windows closed due to a large smoke plume from the fire.
"Thank you for your patience while we deal with this incident."
