A study found Oxford to be one of the most expensive cities for university students to live in in the UK.
Research conducted by Deskup found that Oxford was the 97th most affordable of cities for students.
The study considered factors such as monthly rent, general living expenses, and other costs such as transportation and groceries.
Deskup said that the study was intended to help prospective students manage their finances.
The findings showed that on average, a student living in Oxford could expect to spend about £1,910 a month on rent, transportation, internet, groceries, and other living costs.
This is in contrast to Doncaster, which was found to be the most affordable city for students, with total living costs averaging about £802 a month.
Oxford's high living costs were further highlighted by the fact that students could expect to spend about £1,467 per month on rent alone.
London and Bedford are the least affordable cities for students to live in due to the overall high cost of living
The University of St Andrews had moved Oxford off the top of The Sunday Times's Good University Guide 2024.
Despite no longer having the top rank inside the nation, Oxford maintained first place in the South East category.
