A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of assault, strangulation and theft.
Liam Baird, 32, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (May 31) charged with eight counts.
He pleaded not guilty to one count of assault by beating, two counts of damaging property, two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of theft, and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The offences are alleged to have happened between January and April this year and all relate to the same complainant.
Baird, of Weirs Lane, Oxford, has been remanded in custody until his trial on October 23 this year at the same court.
The trial time estimate is three to four days. His custody time limit is October 29.
