A SENTENCING date has been set for a young man who admitted to controlling his ex-girlfriend.

Oxford Crown Court heard on Friday (May 21) that Paintin had controlled his former partner by dictating what she could wear, where she could go and who she could contact, isolated her from her friends and family and made threats of violence against her including sexual violence.

Paintin, of Eastern Avenue, Oxford, pleaded guilty to all counts on Friday and will now be sentenced on June 11 at the same court.
