A Fawlty Towers dining experience is taking over an Oxford hotel to offer locals the chance to enjoy an immersive comedy dining experience.

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House will welcome the tribute performance on June 28 and will treat guests to dinner, drinks and entertainment inspired by the 1970s BBC comedy series Fawlty Towers.

The dining experience will offer locals the opportunity to feel like real diners in the Faulty Towers restaurant.

Guests will enjoy a 70s style three-course meal complete with customary antics from the show’s best-loved characters.

The highly interactive performance is around 70 per cent improvised so each dining experience is unique and based on audience participation.

The immersive show is celebrating its 27th anniversary and has been performed in more than 40 countries around the world at landmarks including the Sydney Opera House, Raffles Singapore, and the Royal Albert Hall.
