A charity dog walk organised by a housebuilder has taken place in Henley in support of a rescue centre.

Housebuilder Crest Nicholson organised the event which followed a route starting at their Highlands Park development.

Walkers had the chance to meet new people and raise money for Stockenchurch Dog Rescue in Buckinghamshire.

The walk started at the sales suite and continued to the Little Angel Pub near Henley.

Along the route, the dogs were treated to snacks and specially designed bandanas adorned with the Crest logo.

Following the event, Crest Nicholson donated £300 on behalf of the walkers to the Stockenchurch Dog Rescue.

The charity, set up by residents of the area, rehomes and cares for stray and abandoned dogs.

Charlie Joseph, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, said: "We’re always looking for new ways to bring people together, so it was a pleasure to host the local community and their furry friends at Highlands Park at the weekend.

"Highlands Park was the perfect setting for our dog walk – nestled within the rolling Oxfordshire countryside, and with its on site, dedicated Trim Trail – available not just for walkers living at Highlands Park, but the wider Henley-on-Thames community.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming more walkers, families, and dogs to Highlands Park in the future to explore the Trail and the green spaces we have on offer here."
