A boy had his ear cut after he was pinned up against a wall by a gang in Oxfordshire.

The incident occurred between 10.15am and 10.30am on Monday, May 20, at Beechfield House on West Bar Street in Banbury.

The victim, a boy in his teens, was approached by a group of individuals before he was then pinned up against a wall.

Police say one of the individuals proceeded to cut the boy’s ear having pinned him to the wall before the victim then fell over and the group then left the scene.

The victim did not require further treatment.

Thames Valley Police is investigating the incident and made a public appeal on social media for more information.

A spokesperson for the force on Wednesday said: “We're appealing for information following an assault in Banbury.

“Call 101 or via our website, quoting the reference number 43240236070.”
