Bicester-based boxer Harley Pullen won his professional debut on Saturday night (May 25) by outscoring his opponent and winning every round in the capital.

The boxer was competing at the York Hall Leisure Centre in the Bethnal Green area of London.

Mr Pullen said he took the loudest group of supporters, with 127 people from Bicester and the surrounding area watching him, and described the atmosphere as "electric".

He prepared for the fight with an eight week camp, which he said consisted of sparring top level boxers.

Mr Pullen also runs The Future Boxing Academy, a boxing club in Little Chesterton near Bicester.

He said: "The crowd absolutely lifted the roof off of York Hall.

"It felt absolutely incredible picking up the win in front of the biggest crowd I could imagine, the walk out was breathtaking, with everyone cheering. I had to stop for a second to look around and take it all in.

"I’ve got big plans. I’m taking my fiancé and kids on a little holiday and then I’ll be straight back in training ready to go again hopefully around September time, and the aim is to get some titles under my belt hopefully in 2025."
