The Oxford Mail has opened a book of condolence for a motorcyclist from Bicester who died in a crash on bank holiday Monday.

A 57-year-old man riding a red motorcycle was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes Sprinter van at the junction of Middleton Stoney Road and Empire Road at around 9.40am on Monday, May 27.

The driver of the van was not injured with Thames Valley Police launching an appeal for witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died, and they are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers at this time.”
