Several Oxford buses will no longer stop at the city centre railway station due to health and safety concerns.

Both the 1 and 14 Stagecoach services have been diverted until further notice due to fears over the trees at the city’s rail station.

The bus company revealed on Tuesday that multiple bus stops had been closed as a result of the concerns.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: “We have been told that due to health and safety concerns regarding the trees at the forecourt, Oxford Rail Station, some bus stops have had to close.

“Therefore, during this time, Service 1 and Service 14 will not be able to serve the R2 - R4 bus stops.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, albeit out of our control.”
