Armed police were called to reports of a man with a gun on a main road in Didcot.
Officers were called to the junction of The Broadway and St Peters Road after reports of a man brandishing a gun on Friday (May 24) at around 11.30pm.
Three men, aged 25, 28 and 33, were arrested by armed response officers nearby at a location half a mile away on Richmere Road. They have all been subsequently released.
The trio had been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or distress.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said after conducting “thorough searches” at various locations no weapon was found and the three men have all been released without charge.
