A FIRST hearing has taken place for a man accused of raping another man in Oxford.
Borgahan Gumussoy, of Crescent Road, Oxford, appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (May 28) charged with one count of rape.

The alleged incident took place on June 23 last year in Oxford. The details of the alleged offence are not yet known and the alleged victim cannot be named for legal reasons.
The 29-year-old is now due to appear in Oxford Crown Court on June 27 at 10am for a plea and trial preparation hearing as the offence is indictable only.
A trial date could be set at the next hearing.
