A COURT hearing has taken place for a man accused of raping a woman in Banbury.
Sam Lyne, of Gleneagle Road, London, appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (May 28) charged with one count of rape.
The alleged incident took place on February 15 last year in Banbury. The woman cannot be named for legal reasons.

Lyne has also been charged with one count of possession of a Class B drug, namely a quantity of cannabis, which allegedly took place on February 18 last year.
The 30-year-old is now due to appear in Oxford Crown Court on June 27 at 10am for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
A trial date could be set at this hearing.
