AN investigation has been launched by police after the death of an Abingdon nurse who was found in the River Thames.
Karen Leedham, 72, was reported missing by her family on May 13 this year. She was found the following day by police in the River Thames, close to Farmoor Reservoir.
A police officer verified the death of Mrs Leedham, who was a nurse who resided in Baileys Crescent, Abingdon.

An investigation has been launched into her death.
At an inquest opening held at Oxford Coroner’s Court on May 28, it was heard that a post-mortem examination has been performed but a precise cause of death has yet to be established.
Assistant coroner Nicholas Graham has set a date for a full inquest to take place on August 21.
